Chloe Elbaz, a freshman at Xavier Prep in California, won the CIF Southern Section Division 5 girls cross country title at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. Elbaz covered the 2.93-mile layout in 17:57.4 to help Xavier Prep place second overall behind Viewpoint by a 63-79 margin, as both teams advanced to the Nov. 26 state final at Woodward Park in Fresno.
